(KNSI) – Pop Rock star Andy Grammer will be the featured performer for the Paramount Center for the Arts season kickoff celebration.

Executive Director of the Paramount Center for the Arts Gretchen Boulka is giddy to get the year going. “We are super excited for our kickoff this year. This Friday night, things are starting at 6:00 p.m. out on the street in front of the Paramount. Once again, we’re having a tent out there and we’re going to have live music.”

Boulka told KNSI News that those who make it out will witness creativity in action. “We even have a graffiti artist coming by the name of Jojo. He’ll be creating a piece on the spot. So, out on the street, people can come by to watch that. It’ll be specific to our event, which is called the joy of art.”

It all leads up to multi-platinum singer Andy Grammer at 8:00 on the Paramount Theater stage. A handful of tickets to the show are still available.

The kickoff party is one of the largest events of the season. Upcoming events include Thompson Square, the Vienna Boys Choir, One Night in Memphis, Great Theatre’s “Into The Woods,” Great Theatre’s “Waitress,” Rock and Roll Christmas Spectacular, and “The Nutcracker Ballet” are also scheduled.
