(KNSI) – The Stearns County Household Hazardous Waste truck will be in Foley on Saturday, September 7th.

People can drop off items for free. The truck will be parked in the Benton County Public Works parking lot from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Antifreeze
Fluids
Motor Oil & Oil Filters
Gasoline
Polish & Waxes

Batteries:
Button/Coin
Nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd)
Lithium-ion (Li-ion)
Alkaline
Lead Acid (Car)
Exterior
Roofing Tars
Pool Chemicals
Propane Cylinders 1 lb and 20 lb

Garden:
Pesticides
Herbicides
Fertilizers
Insecticides

Household:
Cleaning Products
Aerosols
Adhesives
Solvents
Fluorescent Bulbs
Children’s Car Seats
Paint
Latex Paint & Water Based Stain
Oil Based Paint & Stain
Paint Thinners & Strippers

The household hazardous waste program processes up to 500,000 pounds of regulated waste, and 100,000 fluorescent bulbs each year, collected from as many as 10,000 households. The program currently serves Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, and Mille Lacs County residents.
