(KNSI) – The manager of Mongo’s Grill in St. Cloud says this weekend is about making memories that will last well past Sunday when the restaurant closes.

Jim Howard hopes customers will stop in and sign the logo atop the grill canopy. When the sizzling grills go silent, Howard plans to move that to his backyard as a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

Howard says Mongo’s was more than a job to the staff, something echoed by several people in comments to his Facebook post. He adds that he has personally grown thanks to those he met at the restaurant.

Mongo’s Grill is located at 3701 West Division Street in St. Cloud. Customers can choose from a range of ingredients and sauces to mix together into a delicious stir-fry bowl.

If you are a huge fan of Mongolian-style restaurants, you are in luck. That won’t be changing. The closure of Mongo’s Grill will pave the way for HuHot Mongolian Grill’s expansion into the St. Cloud market. HuHot says its St. Cloud restaurant is “coming soon.”
