(KNSI) – The Young Eagles are once again set to take to the skies this weekend.

The St. Cloud chapter will be doing free airplane rides from 9:00 a.m. to noon for ages eight through 17 years old. To participate, a parental consent form must be signed by a legal guardian. Use the main parking lot at the St. Cloud Regional Airport and walk to Hanger 2.

Young Eagles and the Experimental Aircraft Association are volunteer organizations with the goal of inspiring kids to consider a career in aviation. Young Eagles Day is focused on giving children and teens their first-ever ride in an airplane. Since 1992, over 2.3 million young people have hitched a ride into the friendly skies nationwide.

Pets are not allowed, but there are accommodations for groups. If you have any questions, contact Chip Sauers at 320-248-8384. To complete the required preregistration, visit here.
