(KNSI) – According to the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, you have just weeks to use any outstanding gift cards at the St. Cloud Lumber Liquidators location.

The company declared bankruptcy on August 11th and has announced its intent to reorganize. As part of that effort, it’s closing three Minnesota stores, including the one at 3320 Division Street West.

The bankruptcy filing has asked a court to cut off gift cards for all locations, even those staying open, on September 19th. Officials say there was a multi-state effort to push the cut-off back. It was originally supposed to be Tuesday, September 4th.

If you placed an order before August 11th, you are entitled to $3,350 in returns. Lumber Liquidators is trying to make it so any refunds above that amount would need to be brought before the bankruptcy court as a creditor claim.

Lumber Liquidators is trying to sell itself to new ownership. It says multiple bidders are interested, and a purchase is likely to be announced by the middle of next month.
