(KNSI) — There are 33 new foods to try at this year’s Great Minnesota Get Together.

Released in July, the list includes a wide variety of foods, including the gimmicky, the global and the “goodness gracious, I need to try that!”

Afro Poppers: Bite-size pastries infused with African spices, deep-fried, and coated with coconut flakes, sugar, or plain. Available at Afro Deli in the Food Building.

Ba’bacon Sour Cream + Onion: Sour cream and onion hummus topped with beef bacon, sumac tater tots, caramelized onions, scallions, and more. Served with pita puffs at Baba’s on Underwood Street.

Blazing Greek Bites: Deep-fried bites of chickpeas, tomato, roasted red pepper, scallions, and cayenne pepper with roasted red pepper hummus. Available at Dino’s Gyros on Carnes Avenue.

Buffalo Cheese Curd & Chicken Tacos: Fried buffalo-flavored cheese curds and chicken with blue cheese slaw in a fried flour shell. Find it at Richie’s Cheese Curd Tacos on Judson Avenue.

Chile Mango Whip: Mango Dole Soft Serve with chamoy and Tajín, garnished with a tamarind candy straw. Available at Tasti Whip on Dan Patch Avenue.

Cookie Butter Crunch Mini Donuts: These vanilla mini donuts have a Biscoff cookie butter drizzle and crumbles. They are available at Mini Donuts & Cheese Curds on Underwood Street.

Cotton Candy Iced Tea: Brewed butterfly pea flower tea with edible glitter and a rock candy swizzle stick. Find it at the new vendor, Loon Lake Iced Tea, on Underwood Street.

Crab Boil Wings are chicken wings marinated in hot sauce, grilled, and fried with corn, chicken apple sausage, and potatoes. They are available at Soul Bowl in the Food Building.

Deep-Fried Halloumi Cheese: Halloumi cheese wrapped in pastry dough is deep-fried and served with sweet chili sauce at Holy Land Deli in the International Bazaar.

Deep-Fried Ranch Dressing: Ranch dressing filling in a panko shell, deep-fried and dusted with ranch powder. Served with hot honey sauce at LuLu’s Public House in West End Market.

Dill Pickle Tots: Fried tater tots tossed in dill seasoning. Available at Tot Boss on Underwood Street.

Fried Bee-Nana Pie: Pie filled with Minnesota honey, fresh banana, and Biscoff cookie butter, deep-fried. Available at Sabino’s Pizza Pies in the Lee & Rose Warner Coliseum.

Grilled Purple Sticky Rice: Purple sticky rice is grilled and topped with shredded Hmong beef jerky or pickled mushrooms. It is available at Union Hmong Kitchen in the International Bazaar.

Ham and Pickle Roll Up on a Potato Skin: Fried potato skins filled with sour cream, cream cheese, chopped pickles, and ham. Available at Route 66 Roadhouse Chicken in the Food Building.

Lady’s Slipper Marble Sundae: Bridgeman’s strawberry ice cream with lemon marshmallow cream and ladyfinger cookies. Available at Bridgeman’s Ice Cream on Judson Avenue.

Marco’s Garden: Rhubarb jam, thyme-marinated tomatoes, farmer cheese, jalapeño, and honey with gluten-free flatbread. Available at Jammy Sammies by BRIM in the North End.

Mocha Madness Shave Ice: Shave ice with coffee flavoring and caramel macchiato cold foam drizzled with chocolate syrup. Available at Minnesnowii Shave Ice on Nelson Street.

Nixtamal & Wild Rice Bowl: Bison meatballs or sweet potato dumplings with berry wóžapi sauce on nixtamal and wild rice. Available at another new vendor, Midtown Global Market’s Indigenous Food Lab, in the International Bazaar.

Patata Frita Focacciawich: “Patata Frita” ice cream sandwiched between focaccia bread and topped with honey butter, kettle chips, and herbs. Available at West End Creamery in West End Market.

PB Bacon Cakes: Bacon dipped in pancake batter, topped with peanut butter whipped cream, grape jelly, and banana chips. Available at The Blue Barn in West End Market.

Piggy Pals On-A-Stick: Smoked sausage slices wrapped in bacon, filled with cream cheese, drizzled with barbecue sauce, and topped with a jalapeño slice. Find it at Sausage Sister & Me in the Food Building.

Raging Ball: Deep-fried sesame mochi dough ball with a vegan cheeseburger filling. Available at The Herbivorous Butcher in the Food Building.

Savory Éclairs: Choux pastry éclair filled with Bánh Mì or Lobster. Available at Scenic 61 by New Scenic Café on Underwood Street.

Shroomy “Calamari”: Oyster mushrooms hand-breaded and deep-fried, served with chipotle sauce. Available at French Meadow Bakery & Cafe on Carnes Avenue.

Strawberries and Cream Waffle Stick: Belgian waffle with strawberry shortcake cookie dough, whipped cream, and strawberry sauce. Available at Waffle Chix on Judson Avenue.

Strawberry Lemonade Donut: A donut with lemon buttercream, strawberry lemonade crunch, lemon gummy candy, and freeze-dried strawberry slices. Available at Fluffy’s Hand Cut Donuts.

Swedish Ice Cream Sundae: Vanilla ice cream with lingonberry jam and Swedish ginger cookie crumble. It is available at Salem Lutheran Church Dining Hall on Randall Avenue.

Swedish ‘Sota Sliders: Cranberry-Wild Rice Meatball patties with dill Havarti cheese and beet relish on brioche buns. Available at Hamline Church Dining Hall on Dan Patch Avenue.

Sweet Corn Cola Float: Sweet corn cola with sweet corn ice cream, whipped cream, popping candy, and caramel. Available at Blue Moon Dine-In Theater on Carnes Avenue.

Sweet Heat Bacon Crunch: Double-smoked bacon with hot honey and chili crunch over rice. Available at RC’s BBQ on West Dan Patch Avenue.

Turkey Kristo: Turkey sandwich with white cheddar cheese, apple butter, and spicy brown mustard mayo. Available at Minnesota Farmers Union Coffee Shop on Dan Patch Avenue.

Walking Shepherd’s Pie: Pastries with braised ground beef, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. Available at O’Gara’s at the Fair on Dan Patch Avenue.

Wrangler Waffle Burger: Beef patty with Whataburger Patty Melt Sauce and American cheese in a Nordic Waffle. Available at Nordic Waffles in West End Market.

To go with the new foods, there is always a new crop of food vendors each year, and 2024 is no different. Aside from the new vendors mentioned above, Chan’s Eatery can be found on the east side of Underwood Street between Murphy & Lee Avenues. El Burrito Mercado is located at the International Bazaar, south center section. Kosharina Egyptian Cuisine will be located south of the Grandstand Building under the Grandstand Ramp. Paella Depot is located on the south side of Judson Avenue between Clough & Nelson Streets.

The Minnesota State Fair runs from August 22nd through Labor Day.
