(KNSI) – The first annual Celebrate Aging Expo is Friday in St Cloud.
Formally known as the Expo for Seniors, the event takes over the River’s Edge Convention Center from 8:00 to noon. A big draw returning is the free breakfast for the first 1,000 people through the door. Executive Director of Events Cole Erie told KNSI that if you want a plate, get there early. “The line does form. We have breakfast for 1,000 people. So, if you’re adamant about getting in on that, I would suggest, you know, being there right around eight o’clock.”
The first 1,000 attendees will also get a tote bag full of swag, such as a jar opener, chip clip, pillbox organizer, and fly swatter. There are 100 different booths and businesses inside the convention center. “There’s going to be a lot of information. And an opportunity to learn about what these different businesses are offering to help navigate this area of life. And so, it’s really just designed to be a really fun informational event.”
The entertainment this year will be the band Rewind. KNSI’s Bob Hughes is a member of the group and will emcee the event. Tickets are available at the door for a dollar, and all the money will go to the Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids.
