(KNSI) – Waite Park motorists will need to use Division Street or County Road 138 to access an industrial park on the city’s west end next week.

The railroad that runs just north of Highway 23 will be shut down for maintenance work on Wednesday, the 28th, so the city has decided to complete a minor repaving project. The Public Works Department will close 28th Avenue South between the highway and 7th Street South.

Public Works Director Bill Schluenz says the goal is for this to be only a five-day project, and it should be back to normal by Labor Day. The work is weather-dependent, and the timeline could change if there is rain.

Some of the key businesses being affected include CWMF Corporation, a FedEx distribution site, and the Stearns County Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
