(KNSI) – This year’s Movie Under The Stars is not a double feature, but it has plenty of double trouble.

The City of St. Cloud will be showing the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan, itself now almost 30 years old. Recreation Programmer Cassie Woischke says it’s a classic in its own right and super family-friendly.

Films in recent years have been more modern. Woischke talks about going with something a bit more vintage. “We have to pick through a certain list of films that we can license. And I just kind of dove a little bit deeper this year and saw Parent Trap and thought that classic would be awesome.”

The flick will be projected on a giant screen under the stars at Whitney Park beginning at dusk. Woischke says to come prepared to sit in the grass and come early.

“We want to make sure people bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on, but we’ll have an inflatable obstacle course from Air Maxx pre-movie, and then we’ll have yard games. I am securing door prizes from local businesses, free to enter there. Just get a ticket when you arrive.”

The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7th.

The Parent Trap is a comedy about identical twin sisters who each live with one parent on opposite ends of the country. They meet by chance at a summer camp and hatch a plot to bring their family back together.
