(KNSI) – Residents are invited to take a tour of Lake George next month.

Registration opened today for St. Cloud’s stormwater division’s one-mile excursion, which showcases the steps taken to improve the lake’s water quality while enjoying the scenery. The guided tour will detail how the lake has changed over the years, what is being done to protect it and why stormwater management is so important.

It will also cover the alum treatments to the lake and the purpose of the swan pond next to it.

The tour is Tuesday, September 24th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. It costs $10, and a light meal and drink ticket will be provided. The tour starts at the northeast portion of the Lake George parking lot and ends at Beaver Island Brewing Company.

Click here to register and spots are limited.
