(KNSI) – Highway 10 will be closed in east St. Cloud next week as part of the interchange project.
Crews will be removing the old eastbound Highway 23 bridge, which is expected to last from 8:00 a.m. Monday, August 26th, to Wednesday, the 28th. Detours will be in place but the Minnesota Department of Transportation suggests that motorists just passing through avoid the area altogether.
The official detour for westbound traffic is to get off at 15th Avenue, take that to Lincoln Avenue, and make a right on Highway 23 to CSAH 1. Head north to CSAH 3 and take that back to Highway 10 once you are past the project. Eastbound traffic should take Highway 15 over the Mississippi, clipping Sartell, and into the heart of St. Cloud. Make a left at Highway 23, then use Lincoln Avenue and 15th Avenue to get back to 10.
Crews will be active in the area until November 1st and then will put the finishing touches on the multi-year project in the spring.
