(KNSI) – Members of the Islamic community are asking for the FBI and local law enforcement to look into multiple hate-filled phone calls to a Minneapolis house of worship from a St. Cloud number.

The Dar Al-Qalam Islamic Center in northeast Minneapolis allegedly received 14 calls last weekend. Leaders at the mosque say voicemails contained veiled threats and anti-Muslim slurs.

The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating, but no one has been arrested. The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations is also asking the FBI and St. Cloud police to investigate, saying the person who made the calls “may pose a serious risk to the Muslim community.”

“This is a clear intimidation and targeting of our mosque,” CAIR-MN Executive Director Jaylani Hussein said during a news conference at the mosque on Tuesday.
