(KNSI) – Governor Tim Walz has appointed a Stearns County prosecutor to fill a vacant seat in the Seventh Judicial District.
Ole Tvedten will be chambered in St. Cloud. He was head of the Criminal Division for the Stearns County Attorney’s Office, an assistant county attorney and an appellate attorney. Tvedten earned his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Minnesota.
His community involvement includes serving on the Stearns County Opioid Community Advisory Committee, the Stearns County Domestic Violence Partnership, the Central Minnesota Human Trafficking Multi-Disciplinary Team, and the Stearns County Substance Abuse Court Steering Committee, and coaches girls’ sports.
Tvedten is replacing the Honorable Sarah Hennesy, who was selected to the Minnesota Supreme Court earlier this year.
