(KNSI) – Just in time for the weekend, Highway 10 to East St. Germain Street is now open.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation allowed traffic to use the access to downtown St. Cloud for the first time in months on Thursday afternoon. Highway 10 and Highway 23 both have one lane open each way, 24/7, until late October. All ramps at the interchange are closed and detoured. Drivers should follow the detour signs.

When open to travelers in November 2024, the area will have a smoother road surface, improving safety and access. The work is part of the $43.7 million highway interchange project. MnDOT says road work in the area should be done by early summer 2025.
