(KNSI) – St. Joseph’s city hall will be open today for early voting in the primary election.

Residents can swing by and cast a ballot from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The St. Joseph Government Center will be available to voters from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday and open Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The primary election is Tuesday, August 13th, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. St. Joseph voters are choosing their parties to pick for the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.

Candidates filing for city offices can do so until 5:00 p.m. on August 13th. So far, Troy Goracke has filed for city council, and Joe Hazen and Adam Scepaniak have thrown their hats in the ring for mayor.
