(KNSI) — The National Weather Service says St. Cloud set a new official rainfall record on Monday.
The one day rain total from the official climate site at the St. Cloud Regional Airport showed we received 2.81″, breaking the old record of 1.95″ set in 1900.
Other totals from the weather watchers who are part of the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network showed areas around Richmond and St. Joseph received 3″ and 3.21″.
Forecasters say the rest of the week should be quiet weatherwise, with a slight chance for showers popping up Wednesday afternoon.
