(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Economic Development Authority will begin discussions to set its 2025 budget at Tuesday’s meeting.

The preliminary figure has been set at just $100 more than in 2024. The budget is estimated to total $674,600. It will be funded by a tax levy request of $628,500, delinquent property taxes, $38,100 from administrative service fees on projects throughout the city, and $6,000 from earned interest.

The budget is reviewed by both the EDA and St. Cloud City Council in August. The EDA then reconsiders any changes made during the study session in September and the council will vote on a resolution officially adopting the budget next month.

The EDA’s primary objects are encouraging a business climate that attracts new companies to the city, retains those currently here, and helps others expand. It is also involved with downtown revitalization.
