(KNSI) – Crew Carwash brought in $4,800 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota as part of its Crew for Kids fundraiser.

The event took place at 48 Crew locations across Indiana and Minnesota, including the Division Street wash in St. Cloud. The effort raised over $201,000 in total.

The money will be used to help create matches between bigs and littles. The mentorships are meant to help guide children and teens toward adulthood.

Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota Jackie Johnson says, “Crew Carwash is a dedicated partner that helps bring our mission of finding mentors for all youth in Central Minnesota a reality, and we are so appreciative of their support. With their help, we are able to defend the potential of more youth each and every year!”

This year was the 15th annual Crew for Kids event, which has collected over $1.2 million since its start in 2010.
