(KNSI) – A member of St. Cloud State University’s human resources department is being honored for her commitment to the field.
SCSU Vice President of Human Resources and Workplace Experience Renee Hiller recently learned she received the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources 2024 Distinguished Service Award. This prestigious honor recognizes her exceptional leadership and significant contributions to CUPA-HR in higher education.
Hiller has spent 25 years in the field. Since 2008, she has served on several committees, including as the Director of Membership and Chapter Engagement, Chair of the Midwest Region Board and Midwest Region representative on the National Board. She has also served on the Governance Task Force and Midwest Region Program committees.
Hiller was ecstatic after learning she was getting the award. “It was exciting. I guess it was humbling being recognized for the work that I’ve done because I’ve enjoyed my connection with CUPA-HR and other HR professionals at other universities across the nation.”
She will be recognized with a place in the fall during CUPA-HR’s conference.
Hiller told KNSI News why she got into HR, “I wanted to work with people. I know that sounds cliche when you’re working in human resources. But I wanted to be able to help and make a difference in folks who are seeking employment or seeking help within their employment, [and] looking at the well-being of employees’ morale.”
In recognition of Hiller’s achievements, CUPA-HR will make a $4,000 contribution to SCSU that will be used to further HR-related workplace experiences.
