Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued Until 9:00 p.m. For Stearns County, Radar Indicated Two Inch Hail

(KNSI)—A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Stearns, Todd and Morrison County, bringing damaging hail and high winds. The warning is in effect until 9:00 p.m.

The National Weather Service says a severe thunderstorm was located over Grey Eagle, 19 miles southwest of Little Falls, moving southeast at 30 mph.

The storm is heading towards St. Cloud, Sartell, Waite Park, St. Joseph, Melrose, Collegeville, Albany, Avon, Holdingford, Freeport, Upsala, and Swanville.

Radar has indicated two-inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, vehicles and trees. For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
