(KNSI) – St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis will have a special guest with him at his next town hall meeting.
The gathering will include St. Cloud State University Interim President Larry Dietz on Tuesday, August 6th at 9:00 a.m. The discussion will take place at the Whitney Overlook behind Riverview Hall on the SCSU campus.
The mayor’s town halls are a chance for residents to ask questions and raise concerns about the city without having to appear at a city council meeting. Dietz will answer specific questions related to the university’s current state and future plans. Some residents have grown concerned about SCSU after recent layoffs and the elimination of 42 degrees and 50 minor programs.
Over Kleis’ 19 years as mayor, he’s held more than 900 town hall meetings.
