Hansen & Company Woodworks Breaks Ground on New Facility in St. Joseph

(KNSI) – A cabinet manufacturer has broken ground on a new state-of-the-art facility in St. Joseph.

Hansen & Company Woodworks is celebrating its 20th anniversary by building a $20 million, 92,000-square-foot manufacturing plant. The company says the new factory will feature the latest fully automated technology, allowing it to increase production from 150 cabinets a day to 500.

Hansen & Company is also partnering with St. Cloud Technical & Community College to help train workers to use the new robotic machines. Executives say the expansion will create at least six new jobs.

The company sells its products directly to contractors. Along with its cabinet company, it performs architectural millwork and makes stone countertops and upholstery for commercial properties.
