(KNSI) – Thanks to a partnership between the Great River Regional Library system and the Department of Natural Resources, readers can spend time in Minnesota’s state parks for free.

Around 100 libraries are participating in the program, offering patrons a chance to check out a seven-day pass for free. The pass is a ticket to any state park for a week. The passes must be displayed properly so park rangers can validate the expiration dates.
