(KNSI) – The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation is doubling up on a prominent grant.

It already secured $40,000 from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. On Thursday, it was announced that the Otto Bremer Trust would match that to help expand resources to start-up businessmen and established entrepreneurs from minority communities.

The program is known as Thrive MN. It includes coaching, networking events, scholarships for classes at ILT Academy in downtown St. Cloud, and one-on-one mentoring.

Thrive MN serves companies from all industries and stages of development. GSDC CEO NeTia Bauman says, “These grants will empower us to pioneer transformative ecosystem-building initiatives in Central MN that will incubate innovation, accelerate growth, and strengthen community connections.”

The Otto Bremer Trust was founded in 1944. It is based in St. Paul but serves residents of Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
