(KNSI) – Stearns County is changing the vendor who operates its online property tax system.

The conversion to new software began on Tuesday, and Phase I is scheduled to last until August 11th. Tax payments can still be made through your computer or phone, but some other functionality, like the interactive GIS map, will be unavailable.

Scheduled maintenance from August 9th to the 11th will lead to Phase II. That consists of the rollout of the new streamlined payment system. The county says there will be step-by-step instructions, either PDF or video, to help guide residents when they first use the software.

A press release says the county is working diligently to minimize the impact to the public of the transition.
