A Kernel-Popping Celebration Returns to Valleyfair

(KNSI) – Corn Fest is returning to Valleyfair in Shakopee.

The celebration honors one of Minnesota’s favorite crops. The food festival offers a bushel of sweet and savory takes on corn, live music, and a barrel of corn-forward activities. There are daily corn-eating contests, too.

Officials say Corn Fest will have tons of kernel-popping fun for the entire family. “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate that late summer sunshine by having cobs of fun at the park,” said Raul Rehnborg, Valleyfair’s vice president and general manager. “Corn is not only a staple of Minnesota’s harvest season, but it’s also one of the state’s largest exports and something to be proud of. So, bring the whole family and enjoy a multigenerational cornucopia of fun and tasty experiences!”

Food is served at locations around the Gazebo stage area. The event runs Saturdays and Sundays from August 17th through September 2nd. Corn Fest is included with park admission.
