(KNSI) – After a week off for the Fourth of July, the Summertime by George free concert series continues Wednesday, July 10th, with a tribute to one of the biggest country music groups of all time.
Shane Martin Songs of the South is a tribute to Alabama. The group covers the signature harmonies of Alabama and features hits such as “The Closer You Get,” “Love in the First Degree,” “Tennessee River,” “Song of the South,” “Mountain Music,” “I’m in a Hurry,” “Dixieland Delight,” “If You’re Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band),” “Mountain Music,” “Born Country,” “High Cotton” and many more.
The opening act is Kat Blue, a four-piece acoustic group that plays country, rock, folk and bluegrass music.
Kat Blue takes the stage at Eastman Park at 5:30. Shane Martin Songs of the South starts at 7:00.
The shows are free and family friendly.
