(KNSI) – The St. Cloud VA Medical Center is holding a special PACT Act Claims Clinic meeting next month to help service members and their families.

Veterans from the Vietnam War, Gulf War era, or Post-9/11 era could be entitled to increased health care or financial benefits thanks to the PACT Act, which expanded VA health care eligibility for veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange or other toxic substances.

At the clinic, representatives from the Veterans Benefits Administration and county veteran service officers will help with new, ongoing, or supplemental disability benefits claims. VA healthcare enrollment specialists will also be available for those not yet signed up.

The clinic is on August 17th in the auditorium of building eight at the St. Cloud VA, 4801 Veterans Drive, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Assistance is available on a walk-in basis. Appointments are also available but limited. Call 320-255-6340 to schedule an appointment.

Veterans should bring a copy of their DD-214 or other discharge papers and any recent correspondence from the VA about prior or ongoing claims.
