(KNSI) – A Sauk Centre man has been sentenced to just over 19 years in prison for pressuring minors to send him sexually explicit images.

According to court documents, Shawn Kulzer started talking to an underage person via Snapchat in January 2023. After Kulzer learned that they were underage, he still pressured them to send nude photographs. In his plea agreement, Kulzer admitted that he targeted a second victim the same way. While on pretrial release, Kulzer got another cell phone and did the same thing with at least six other victims.

The 32-year-old pleaded guilty in March to one count of production and attempted production of child pornography. Kulzer was sentenced to ten years of supervised release. At sentencing, the judge stated that Kulzer’s crimes are “the nightmare that every parent thinks of when they think of online behavior involving their children.”

The FBI, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sauk Centre Police Department assisted in the investigation.
