(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Fire Department rushed to an apartment building on 8th Avenue South Tuesday after witnesses at the scene said occupants were trapped in a blaze on the third floor.

Four engine trucks responded, with firefighters heading straight to the affected unit. They expanded the search to the entire building, but luckily, no one was found inside.

The flames were eventually brought under control, but the fire marshal declared five apartments uninhabitable. The property management company helped displaced residents find immediate shelter.

The fire is still under investigation by the St. Cloud Police Department. No injuries were reported.
