(KNSI) – The Central Minnesota Human Trafficking Task Force made eight arrests and rescued three victims during a recent sting operation.

Officials say seven have been charged with gross misdemeanor crimes for allegedly trying to pay for sex. One person was charged with a felony for allegedly trying to solicit a minor. The task force says they have several other active child solicitation investigations in the works.

During the investigations, they found three victims of sex trafficking and referred them to an agency for help.

The task force was assisted by the St. Cloud Police Department, Sartell Police Department and Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
