(KNSI) – A major road construction project in East St. Cloud will cause partial closures of two intersections on Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the intersections closing are 14th Avenue Southeast south of Highway 23 and East St. Germain Street at East of Highway 10. Access will be maintained for those who live, work, visit or shop in the area; however, expect changes and alternate entrances and follow road signs. Both closings will remain in effect until August.

Highways 10 and 23 will remain open, with one traffic lane in each direction. All access ramps, the Fourth Street intersection, eastbound Highway 10 and West Frontage Road will remain closed.

The work is part of the $43.7 million Highway 10/Highway 23 interchange project. Construction started in the spring of 2023 and is expected to finish by the summer of 2025.

According to MnDOT, the city will get a smother and safer road when work is complete.
