Meeker County Man Stabbed and Run Over In Violent Assault

(KNSI) – A man was seriously hurt in an assault in Litchfield Township on Friday afternoon.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call just after 5:00 about an injured man lying in a ditch off of 600th Avenue. He had been stabbed and run over by a vehicle.

The 50-year-old was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center. Within hours, deputies had located the suspect vehicle and are actively seeking multiple people in connection to the incident.

In a press release, the sheriff says the attack on the 50-year-old Olivia native was not random and that he was specifically targeted. No other information is available at this time.
