(KNSI) – A young woman was seriously injured in an ATV accident about 10 miles north of Hillman in Morrison County Sunday night.
The sheriff’s office says a 19-year-old from Woodbury lost control while riding on a dirt road just before 9:30 and was thrown from the ATV. She had to be life-flighted to North Memorial Hospital.
Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen reminds people to follow traffic laws and make sure they are familiar with any piece of motorized equipment before throttling up to full speed.
The injured woman was not wearing a helmet when she crashed. Hillman Area Response Team, North Air Care, and Onamia Ambulance assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.
