(KNSI) – Workers at eight grocery stores across Minnesota had a worrisome start to their shifts on Friday morning.
The Cub stores were targeted with bomb threats, prompting multiple stores to evacuate and reach out to police for help. The calls were made to the stores in White Bear Lake, Lakeville, Monticello, Inver Grove Heights, Phalen, Mankato, Coon Rapids and Oakdale.
Cub reports no one has been injured since receiving the threats. In a statement, the company says the safety and well-being of their employees and customers are their top priority and that locations will only reopen after a thorough search.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has also been notified.
