(KNSI) – The Great River Children’s Museum is helping the youngest attendees at Thursday’s Lemonade Concert and Art Fair process the event’s sights and sounds.

Look for the blue blocks near Stewart Hall from until 7:00 p.m. They’re like life-sized Legos, helping kids show off their creativity while they play. Volunteers will help you create a sensory bottle, mixing artistry with calm and relaxation.

A calming sensory tent will also be set up for those who have had a little too much stimulation from the dozens of food trucks and art vendors set up throughout campus.

Staff will update parents on construction, which is making great strides at the former Liberty Bank site on 7th Avenue in downtown. Donations will be accepted and an anonymous patron has agreed to match any funds raised dollar for dollar up to $5,000.

The museum’s newsletter says June has seen crews pouring concrete for a future elevator shaft. It will anchor the Climber to the Clouds exhibit. Step out of the elevator car and into the Rain Room. It will ensure every visitor can have their head in the clouds, learning about weather systems and creating rain, thunder, wind, and rainbows high above the three-dimensional city below.
