(KNSI) – An event on Thursday, June 13th, at the Benton County Fairgrounds will let you meet the men and women who keep the area safe.
First responders of all stripes will be on hand from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with informational displays and a chance for one-on-one interaction between attendees and presenters. The event is free and open to the public.
No live demonstrations are planned, but it will have a “touch a truck” aspect. You can learn more about law enforcement vehicles, both historic and modern squad cars. You will also have a chance to get up close and personal with fire trucks and a Life Link Helicopter.
The Minnesota State Patrol and Stearns County Sheriff’s Office have recently posted that they will be attending. If you like what you see at the appreciation event, donations will be accepted for the Greater St. Cloud Public Safety Foundation.
The organization announced it would be opening a second St. Cloud location inside an east side church about a mile from the fairgrounds in Sauk Rapids, where the appreciation event is scheduled.
