North Branch Man Seriously Injured in Central Minnesota Farm Accident

(KNSI) — A 51-year-old man was seriously injured in a farm accident Saturday morning.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says at about 10:00, they were called to a property in Getty Township. They found Eric Bergum of North Branch with severe leg injuries. Witnesses said Bergum and others were backing the tractor off a trailer when the trailer moved, and the tractor rolled over backward, pinning Bergum underneath. Others ran and grabbed a skid steer and pulled the machine off of him before first responders arrived.

Bergum was first taken to Sauk Centre Hospital before being airlifted to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital for further treatment.
