Maple Lake Woman Airlifted To St. Cloud Hospital After ATV Accident

(KNSI) – A 24-year-old Maple Lake woman was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital Saturday evening after being injured in an ATV crash.

She was a passenger on the vehicle. A 21-year-old Pierz man was behind the wheel. They were heading west in a roadside ditch along Highway 27 in Morrison County just after 5:30. The side-by-side struck a road approach and rolled over, causing the injuries.

In a news release, the sheriff’s office says it believes alcohol was a contributing factor to the accident, but the case is still under investigation. The extent of the woman’s injuries was described as unknown.
