(KNSI) – Another person has died from injuries sustained in the May 30th shooting that claimed the life of a Minneapolis police officer.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension shared Sunday that 36-year-old Mohamed Aden of Columbia Heights died due to complications from gunshot wounds. Both Aden and Osman Said Jimale were shot inside an apartment on Blaisdell Avenue. Jimale was also killed.
The BCA says it is actively investigating the double homicide and the use-of-force incident that happened in the street nearby that killed gunman Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed. He was taken down after killing Officer Jamal Mitchell and injuring a second officer and a firefighter.
Four people have now died in the incident, including Mohamed. The injured first responders have both been treated and released from the hospital.
