(KNSI) — Central Minnesota has another chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon, saturating already saturated ground, leading to rising river levels and minor flooding in some areas.
The official rain total on Tuesday was .9″ measured at the St. Cloud Regional Airport.
Elsewhere, around Becker, Clear Lake, southeast St. Cloud and Sartell, anywhere from 1.2″ to 1.25″ of rain fell, with roughly an inch around Rice, Foley, Sauk Rapids and the north end of St. Cloud. West and south of St. Cloud got between 1.4″ to just over 2″.
Official weather records show that so far this month, St. Cloud has received 2.58″ of rain. It was also a moist meteorological spring, with 11.4″ of rain falling between March and May, ranking in the top 20% of wettest springs on record.
