(KNSI) — The Great River Regional Library’s Summer Reading Challenge is here.
The theme for this year is Read, Renew, Repeat. It’s open to kids of all ages from the littlest earliest readers to seniors in high school. The challenge includes different activities and incentives to keep pages turning and brains active.
Kids sign up at their local Great River Regional Library branch, either in person or virtually, on the Beanstack app. Those who register at the library the week of June 3rd receive a reading log and a bag of goodies.
Using Reading Records or the app, track time spent reading or doing reading-related activities. The more time spent reading or on suggested activities, the more chances for prizes.
Activities are age specific for kids ages zero to three, kids ages four to grade six, and teens in grades six through 12. There are also book suggestions for kids here and teens here.
The challenge runs through August 3rd.
