(KNSI) — Buckle up! A June whirlwind of local family friendly fun summer festivals is about to start.

It gets started with Sartell Summerfest on June 7th. Libertyville kicks things off June 7th at 4:00 at City Hall. June 8th, the big parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. with a street dance at 4:00. Bags and other games will be provided. The festival features a new event this year called Makin’ Mirth Scavenger Hunt. Solve the clues to find the next destination around town to do a fun challenge. Up next is Becker Freedom Days, June 9th through the 16th. It’s a new weeklong event this year with new events planned, such as Becker Sings, a Boy Scout BBQ Contest, a Father’s Day Photo Contest, a farmer’s market and a Salute to First Responders party. There is also a grand parade with Bachelor contestant and Becker native Daisy Kent serving as Grand Marshal. Learn more here.

Games, grub and grinning are the plan for Waite Park Family Fun Fest from June 10th through the 14th. The medallion hunt starts Monday. Throughout the week, events include cookie decorating, a pickleball open house, a bike rodeo, crafts, freight train tours, a city wide garage sale, a parade with loads of candy and a car show. Avon Spunktacular Days June 14th and 15th will be marked with the 25th Lake Wobegon Trail Anniversary. There is also a medallion hunt, car show, beer garden, food court, live music, craft fair, Lady Slipper Nature Ride, Garrison Keillor Solo Show, and the parade at 7:00 p.m. Saturday. The one and only Garrison Keillor will serve as Grand Marshal. Plus, kids’ activities like games and a fishing contest will be held. Fireworks will shoot off at dusk Saturday. Learn more here.

Foley Fun Days is June 14th through the 19th. This year’s theme is Super Heroes. The fun gets going with a city wide garage sale Friday. That continues through the weekend, followed by a Foley Lions Yard Sale, a bicycle safety rodeo, a tractor drive, and the Foley Ambassador Coronation. There are sidewalk sales, a medallion hunt, the 5K and Kid K run, live music, carnival rides, food stands, card games, a magician, a pickleball tournament, an ice cream social, a petting zoo and more. Rapids River Days in Sauk Rapids is June 20th through the 22nd. Visit food stands and a beer garden at the Food Fest, pony parties, a petting zoo, a medallion hunt, Rock the Riverside at The Clearing, the Sauk Rapids Ambassador Pageant, and a parade. Learn more here.

The big Granite City Days celebration in St. Cloud is June 27th through the 30th. It kicks off with the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair and opening ceremonies on the campus of St. Cloud State University. The Liberty Bank Block Party with The Rockin’ Hollywoods is Friday, with the grand parade Saturday morning and an art chalking event to follow. There is also a walking tour and Rock the Park at Lake George on Sunday. Learn more here.

And this is just the list for June. July will see Joetown Rocks, the St. Cloud 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, Holdingford Daze, and Cold Spring Hometown Pride Days. The Benton County Fair, Albany Heritage Day, and Clearwater Heritage Fest round out August.
