(KNSI) – Officers pulled double duty on a busy St. Cloud road looking for red light violators over the long weekend.
The St. Cloud Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol teamed up over the Memorial Day Weekend to do extra patrol work on Highway 15. Law enforcement ended up writing 13 tickets. The extra enforcement will continue throughout the summer.
According to the SCPD, red light violations cause serious accidents. A citation can result in a $300 fine.
