(KNSI) – Wicked weather is causing postponements to high school softball playoffs.

All Section 6AA games have been pushed to Wednesday. St. Cloud Cathedral Athletic Director Emmett Keenan tells KNSI News that as of Tuesday morning, two fields at River’s Edge Park in Waite Park already had standing water, and heavy rain throughout the day is expected to worsen the situation.

Local teams are affected by the change. The new schedule is listed below.

1:00 p.m. – Cathedral vs. Paynesville and Albany vs. Eden Valley-Watkins

3:00 p.m. – Kimball vs. Pequot Lakes, Pierz vs. Milaca, and elimination game feature losers of the 1:00 p.m. contests

5:00 p.m. – Elimination game between losers of 3:00 p.m. games

Keenan says today’s weather will determine if the schedule has to be adjusted further. The St. Cloud area could see between one and three inches of rain by early Wednesday.
