Whitney Recreation Center to Close for Maintenance May 18th, Summer Hours Start May 29th

(KNSI) — The Whitney Recreation Center will be closed for gym floor refinishing starting Saturday.

The closure runs from May 18th through the 28th and includes the fitness room and walking track. When it reopens on May 29th, it will do so with adjusted summer hours.

Monday through Thursday, the hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Fridays it is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturdays it’s open from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The facility is closed Sundays except for private rentals. Open gym will be available starting at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Reservations are not required for open gym, track or exercise area use.

The Whitney offers youth activities, adult sports, fitness classes, and special events.
