Seven Crusaders Sign To Play Sports In College

(KNSI) – Seven Crusaders announced the next leg of their athletic journey Wednesday at a ceremony celebrating commits to NCAA Division III colleges and universities.

The group included members of the school’s baseball, dance, soccer, swimming, track and field, and volleyball teams. They are listed below by sport and where they’ll attend in the fall.

Cammy Sand – Volleyball – Hamline University
Samantha Skaja – Swimming – Hamline University
Jake Plante – Soccer – Concordia Moorhead
Greta Peterson – Track and Field and Dance Team – College of St. Benedict
Taylor Theisen – Dance Team – College of St. Benedict
Melanie Schultz – Dance Team – College of St. Benedict
John Brew – Baseball – Crown College

The dance team won the Class A Jazz State Championship earlier this year. Other squads that reached the top of their sport were cross country in fall 2023 and boy’s hockey.

Forward John Hirschfeld announced last month that he was committed to skate for the University of Vermont in the powerhouse Hockey East conference in a couple of years. Ella Voit has signed with Division II Winona State to run cross country.
