St. Cloud Police Investigating Alleged Assault and Robbery Tuesday Morning

(KNSI) — Four people are in custody after allegedly robbing and assaulting a man at Go For It Gas in St. Cloud early Tuesday.

St. Cloud police officers were approached by the 26-year-old victim on the 1000 block of 9th Avenue South at about 2:30 a.m. He said he had a brief interaction with one of the men inside the store, and as he left, four men came up to him and assaulted him. One of them brandished a handgun, but it was not fired. He said they got away with cash and some personal belongings.

A press release from the St. Cloud Police Department said the man was seriously hurt and had to be taken to CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

The suspects were all arrested and booked into the Stearns County Jail, where they are awaiting formal charges. KNSI News does not typically name suspects until they have been formally charged. A gun was recovered at the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing.
