(KNSI) – On Mother’s Day, a St. Augusta home received an unexpected visit from a guest after the driver missed a stop sign.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says that around 4:15 on Sunday afternoon, a passerby reported that a black 2002 Audi TT had crashed into a residence in the 233rd block of County Road 7. Deputies found the Audi embedded in the south side of the house.
Investigators determined the vehicle was traveling westbound on County Road 44, approaching the T-intersection to County Road 7. The car blew through a stop sign and continued into a yard, striking a tree and then the house. Nobody was inside the home at the time of the crash.
The driver, 22-year-old Theodore Wolden of St. Cloud, was evaluated for minor injuries. Paramedics also checked out two passengers, 19-year-old Brianna Barton and 21-year-old Korben Wolden, both from St. Cloud.
The St. Augusta Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance assisted the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
