(KNSI) – The smooth sounds of San Francisco’s North Beach and one of the most iconic summer movies of all time make up the Paramount Theatre’s June lineup.

The Kingston Trio will delight audiences on Wednesday, June 12th, at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Thursday matinee at 1:30. The folk group has been playing since the late 1950s. They took the genre mainstream for the first time in the late 50’s and early 60’s, seeing tremendous sales and worldwide fame. See why audiences first fell in love with songs like “Tom Dooley” over 65 years ago.

On Thursday, June 20th, the Paramount is kicking off its Summer Movie Singalongs series with the gang from Rydell High. Tickets are just $5 per person to see the musical Grease. The film follows the summer romance between John Travolta’s Danny Zuko and Olivia Newton-John as Sandy.

When the two realize they are at the same school while she is studying abroad from her native Australia, they navigate teenage love to a happy ending. Crack open the yearbook and go back in time to meet the Pink Ladies, the T-Birds greaser gang, and the faculty of America’s favorite high school.

The month ends on a high note, delivered by a 16-piece orchestra. Mick Sterling and Cate Fierro are backed by a rocking band as they deliver the program “Vintage Vegas.” It features the songs of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, and Dean Martin.
